BREAKING NEWS:

as per agent press release-

February 27, 2009 -- On the first day of NFL free agency , 3 time Super Bowl champion Lonie Paxton has agreed to terms on a 5 year contract with the Denver Broncos. Lonie's new contract will make him the 2nd highest paid longsnapper in NFL history, and his signing bonus was the 2nd highest ever for a pure longsnapper.

Lonie has spent the first 8 years of his NFL career as an anchor on the Patriots special teams units, helping both Adam Vinatieri and Steven Gostkowski earn Pro Bowl kicker honors. He is perhaps best remembered for his "Snow Angel" in the end zone following the Patriots huge game winning FG in a blizzard to end a 2001 playoff game against the Oakland Raiders, en route to their Super Bowl win over the Rams.
