ricojes Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 New England's Pro Bowl linebacker Mike Vrabel is in Kansas City undergoing a physical so that he can then be traded to the Chiefs. General Manager Scott Pioli is reaching out to bring in a player familiar with his system, and New England is a willing trade partner. Per Adam Schefter blog.

VOR Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 The pats need to make room for julius peppers That's barely a start. The Pats are just $3.5M under the cap, and trading Vrabel clears a shade over $3M. That amount ($6.5M) isn't even enough to sign their draft picks and tender the restricted FA's. Not to mention Peppers will want Haynesworth money, and the Pats will never give it to him.

Not a problem. Players will sign for the league minimums while the rest of the money will be deposited in secret offshore accounts. PTR
Hossage Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Considering the massive future tax raises we all face, bring on the offshore accounts and do business with a wink and a nod.
Yasin's BILLS Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 ah jeez who is Tom Brady gonna throw the ball to now? Mike Vrabel was his favorite target
Sisyphean Bills Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Vrabel? What are the Chiefs offering? An umbrella stand?
Dr. Trooth Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 The pats need to make room for julius peppers Really? So, why don't the Pats just trade Cassel for Peppers? Answer... because they already have two damn good DEs and don't need a bizillion dollar backup.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 But they need a bizzilion dollar back up qb? Just messing with you. I hope they get stuck with cassell and brady. what a fine mess that would be. But Pioli will probably have to trade for Cassell or Belecheat goes public with the pics of Pioli and Kraft.
apuszczalowski Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Talk is Vrabel is only part of the deal, and the draft picks wouldbe the #3 overall pick and possibly a 3rd for Vrabel and Cassells, freeing up about $20 million in cap space
BuffaloBill Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Not a problem. Players will sign for the league minimums while the rest of the money will be deposited in secret offshore accounts. PTR LOL ... at the same time if there was a team to ry it would be the cheatriots
