Captain Quint Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Not a bad backup to Trent. At least he finished off the season for the Bengals with 3 wins.
marauderswr80 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Even with him our QB situation is rather terrible!
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 He graduated from Harvard and is the only player ever to get a perfect score on the wonderlic test. ...CHAMPIONSHIP!
Mantis Toboggan M.D Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 we'll have the smartest QB tandem in the NFL. Coach from Yale. Qb's from Stanford/Harvard. We would be unstoppable......................................................... Oh wait...
drg2021 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Even with him our QB situation is rather terrible!I agree.Theres no improvement there over JP.Bring in an experiance QB like Garcia or Kitna then ill be excited.Fitzpatrick is a wash for Jp, what a joke
BuffaloBill Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Not a bad backup to Trent. At least he finished off the season for the Bengals with 3 wins. How do you figure - he looked mostly awful last year. He is an Ivy leaguer so jauron will probably have the hots for him.
Fewell733 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 he got better as the year went on for them. I recall watching him early in the year and he looked so terrible I couldn't believe it. Later in the year he was much less terrible.

Like I said, at least he won the last 3 games he started. Remember that he's just a backup QB. He'll at least be able to step in and not fumble the game away (hopefully). Did anyone really think that someone like Garcia was going to come to Buffalo to be a #2QB? You're fooling yourselves if you did.
major Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Let me get this straight, we are considering signing someone (Fitzpatrick) that stunk it up for the Bengals last year. They're are a lot of decent backup QB's in FA right now and we're going after this guy. Someone explain this logic to me. Simms would better. Leftwich would be better. Heck, even Losman would be better to have around than this guy.

WVUFootball29 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Take out the first 4 games of the year for Edwards and both QBs are equally atrocious
RayFinkle Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Nothing against Fitz, but does anybody else find this as an odd choice for the "veteran back-up". The dude has been in the league for 3 years, 1 year longer than Trent.
Ray Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Smart, capable back up....I'll take him. We are not going to get much better. Can not see Green or Garcia coming here and do not see paying either of them 3M a year and making more than the starter.
CFLstyle Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Not a bad idea, gives you what you need from a backup.

RayFinkle Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 been in the NFL 4 seasons Ray That is what I said, three 4 seasons.
