In space no one can hear
Jason Brown headed to St. Louis Thursday, February 26, 2009 Posted By Albert Breer 11:45 PM Free agent center/guard Jason Brown will kick off his free-agent tour on Friday with a visit with the St. Louis Rams. Brown -- considered by some to be the best lineman on the market -- is likely to command a big, multiyear deal. Brown, who turns 26 in June, started in 2006 and 2007 as a guard for the Ravens, before moving to center to replace Mike Flynn in 2008.
San Jose Bills Fan
From Yahoo Sports By Jason Cole A deal is in place for free-agent guard Jason Brown to get upwards of $8 million per year and become the highest paid interior offensive lineman in the NFL, according to a source. The flabbergasting part is that Brown was offered upwards of $8.5 million by one team and turned it down, a source close to Brown said. Agent Harold Lewis confirmed that Brown was in St. Louis visiting with the Rams on Friday morning as free agency hit its first day. Brown, who played the first four years of his career with Baltimore after being a fourth-round pick in 2005, is expected to surpass the $7 million threshold for an interior offensive lineman, which was set in 2007 by Minnesota guard Steve Hutchinson. Makes you wonder...
Captain Quint
Apparently, the Raiders are also interested in him. It's possible that they offered him the $8.5MM and he turned them down. Smart man!
