But that is not his plan. His plan (whatever soundbite was revealed) was that for many people, SS would remain constant. But for younger people and everyone going forward, people would retain more controil over their retirement accounts. basic personal accountability.

 

Same as his proposal to shift the cost of medical insurance to the individuals from the employers. Great proposal that got hammered in party rhetoric that has nothing to do with the merits of the proposals.

 

But hell, we'll be dead when the next generation has to deal with it. Worse yet, we'll take 40 years to die and have the next generation pay 100% of our medical costs.

Oh stop with the facts, you're bringing me down here. I was hoping Kerry gets in so he can raise taxes on everyone, to support entitlement for everyone. Of course companies will lay people and go bankrupt, but Kerry has a plan for that. At least we'll all have medical insurance and social security. :doh:
