rolly Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 anyone catch this from yesterday's sportscenter (airing now), pretty interesting stuff. they're both interviewed about sports related issues, (steroids in baseball, ticket affordability, public stadium approval) check it out, it's the last 10 minutes of every sportscenter
billsfanone Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 I don't want to make this a political debate, but Bush was much more candid. It seemed like Kerry didn't know how to turn off the political-type rhetoric.
rolly Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 kerry never does, bush is a people president, he can relate, he's one of us. kerry is in another world. basically he's a straight up politician :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
stevestojan Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 bush is a people president, he can relate, he's one of us. 94623 If any one of us spoke as poorly as GWB does, that person would last one second on TSW before we would tear them apart. Please don't say "he's one of us" as if you are speaking for the country, or even this board right here. He is not "one of us".
Dan Gross Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Bush is a former team owner, so he's naturally closer to the issues. He made a point of saying that as part of his answer to every other question.
rolly Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 typical anti-bush argument, focus on his speaking skills and not his actions, kinda like a flip-flopper I know
stevestojan Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 typical anti-bush argument, focus on his speaking skills and not his actions, kinda like a flip-flopper I know 94634 If I focused on his actions, I would point you to the 1100 dead American soldiers that lost their lives and yet we are still getting threats from the actual mastermind behind 9/11. Believe me, you'd rather have us "liberals" (and I'm surprised there's not a filter for that since you use it like a curse word) point out his terrible speaking ability that his awful actions as president.
stevestojan Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 4 more years 94650 and the count will be upwards of 2200 deaths, and we will still be faced with yellow, green, turquois, whatever threats every other month. I take it you feel safer now that before, huh? What a joke.
stevestojan Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 I support my president. 94668 So, if Kerry gets elected, and becomes your president, you will support him? Good news.
EZC-Boston Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Steve it is unfortunate your vote will actually count and mine won't, I hope you forget tomorrow is Tuesday....

stevestojan Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Steve it is unfortunate your vote will actually count and mine won't, I hope you forget tomorrow is Tuesday.... 94695 Sorry Martin, I already voted. Friday. For Kerry, like anyone who has been conscious for the past 4 years will do.
gmac17 Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 I take it you feel safer now that before, huh? a typo, a typo, look how dumb he is!!!! Well, a lot of people felt safe on September 10th, 2001 but doing nothing and hoping the bad guys didn't attack us didn't help very much then. We won't know if Iraq was a good idea or a bad idea for a few more years. Until then, I certainly won't vote for the guy who voted against getting Sadaam out of Kuwait in 1991, or who wants terrorism to be "just a nuisance", or who TOOK A POLL to see what Americans thought of the latest Bin Laden tape before he commented on it. Bush has A LOT of faults, too bad the dems couldn't get anybody better to run against him.

rolly Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 stevestojan, I see from your posts that you are turning your back on our quarterback. hmmm thats kind of like how john kerry turned his back on the U.S. by denouncing our involvement in the vietnam war by visiting the country himself like he's frigging ghandi! I'm seeing a connection. Sorry to say it but you voted for a traitor.

For 30 years most of the nation has looked at this as a mistake and moved on. You (and others) want to go back and re-open this wound and slam a guy that spoke out against it? Guess I don't understand
