H2o
His trek back to the NFL has officially begun. He now will be released to a halfway house of some sort for a few months and then completely released. The story was just broke on SC at about 12:50 pm. RayFinkle
I wonder if he gets reinstated this year?
nucci
The NFL never officially suspended him.
RayFinkle
The NFL never officially suspended him. I've read different opinions. Some speculate it might be "time served" others say the Commish might suspend him for a year.
cantankerous
The NFL never officially suspended him. Sure they did. He's suspended "indefinitely" And he's not even going to a half way house...they don't have a bed for him, so they're releasing him July 20th to his house! He's thanking his lucky stars right now I bet. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/02/26/...ng-out-of-jail/

Stl Bills
So this is why we cleared all that cap room? Figured we could have just gotten him for about 2 packs of cigarettes, 3 packs of Ramen Noodles and a couple bars of soap. Isn't that the going rate? MattyT
The good news for Vick is that the Oakland Raiders and Dallas Cowboys are both legit halfway homes.
BillsNYC
Just saw some guy from Fox Sports (JT the Brick or something?) say that Vick will likely go to "one of these teams like St. Louis, Detroit or Buffalo with terrible quarterbacks"

BuffaloBill
I wonder if he gets reinstated this year? I just do not see the NFL being willing to take the PR hit. Not to mention it makes them look like fools when they say they are "cleaning up" the image of the league by cracking down on unacceptable behavior. He paid his price though, he should be able to move on.
