Cripes Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I redirect, you deride: Chicago Tribune speculation
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Replacing JP Losman with the NFC version of JP Losman. Makes sense. Their stats across the board are eerily similar. Except Grossman has been sacked less, and has a lot less career fumbles.
damj Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I would LOVE this move ... as long as he never had to play. We've brought in every othe Chi-town reject, so this makes perfect sense.

nucci Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 And he's barely 6' tall and can't see over his lineman. That is his greatest problem as a QB. I don't think lack of height is his greatest problem.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Here's the meat of the story: After talking to a handful of agents, executives and assistant coaches since last week's NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, here are five possibilities where Grossman might end up: Buffalo: Bills need a veteran backup to Trent Edwards. Dick Jauron was the Bears coach in '03 when Grossman was a first-round draft pick
WellDressed Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 ..... Let's get Gannon or Jeff George to come out of retirement, or maybe even sign Brunell. ....
Steely Dan Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 The whole idea of that is gross man. ..... Let's get Gannon or Jeff George to come out of retirement, or maybe even sign Brunell. .... The obvious choice dingbat would be Kelly again.
2003Contenders Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Relax. We are talking about a backup QB for heaven's sake! And, yes, I think he is an improvement over JP. I doubt JP could lead ANY team to the Super Bowl as Grossman did in 2006.

Rubes Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 If Grossman ends up here I am officially going to lose it.

Uuuuh...? Relax. We are talking about a backup QB for heaven's sake! And, yes, I think he is an improvement over JP. I doubt JP could lead ANY team to the Super Bowl as Grossman did in 2006. Yeah, no. The Bears special teams and defense single-handedly (and this can actually be PROVEN statistically) won between 3-6 games for Chicago that year. Rex Grossman kept them from going undefeated.
dib Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 no wait a minute no he has no arm he's a Gator no.
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 All of a sudden Boller sounds pretty good, Huh.
The Senator Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I would rather have... Jaren Lorenzen Hey, he's got a Superbowl ring...
apuszczalowski Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I would rather have... Jaren Lorenzen Hey, he's got a Superbowl ring... True, but Grossman actually has SB playing experience
