oregonbbfan Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Any chance we can get one this year? And if so, when are they awarded? There is a guy who visits this site each year who has manipulated that huge formula and is pretty much right on each year.
SKOOBY Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Let's not ask Chris Brown or the team early this year, we can save ourselves any suprises.

There is a guy who visits this site each year who has manipulated that huge formula and is pretty much right on each year. The NFL has it's annual meeting from March 22-25. That is when the compensatory picks will be announced.
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I dont think we lost anyone worth a pick last year, maybe Jim Leohnard and Coy Wire, and was Ceslak last year. Maybe a seventh or two, probably less when you figure we recieved Mitchell and Johnson coming back.
clumping platelets Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 No..........signing Mitchell and S. Johnson balances out losses in FA

There will be no comp picks this year we lost noone worth anything and we obtained a LB worth more than anyone we lost.
scoring is not hardy Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 There will be no comp picks this year we lost noone worth anything and we obtained a LB worth more than anyone we lost. That can't be right. I keep reading on here how all of our castoffs were leading teams into the playoffs, and how we only pickup 2nd and 3rd tier players . We should be getting tons of picks!
Nostradumbass Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=307910 This is usually pretty bang on - no picks this year
Big Turk Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Let's not ask Chris Brown or the team early this year, we can save ourselves any suprises. maybe we should ask gayboy from realfootball365.com...perhaps he can give a limp-wristed presentation as to why we will get some picks...

SKOOBY Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 NE will get them all What do you expect, Kraft determines everything the league does.
pBills Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 What do you expect, Kraft determines everything the league does. NFL soon to be named the NKL... National Kraft League
Rock'em Sock'em Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Somewhat off-topic, but if the Bills would have traded Dallas a 7th rounder for T.O. then: a.) TO's would have been under contract for 3 years (with 1st year money less than what Bills paid). b.) Next year's comp picks may have been better. It seems like a team can tack on an extra pick or two if optimizing for it. I'm happy that T.O. came here on his own terms, though. That's important too.
