Beerball Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 You just had a flashback to Seductions didn't you?
BuffaloBill Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 per roto!!!! Wow ... was he a cap casualty?
Glass To The Arson Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 You just had a flashback to Seductions didn't you? YES!
lets_go_bills Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 That is surprising, but they also say that a "reunion" is possible. Of the many cap casualties, this is one guy actually worth bringing in.

Alphadawg7 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I say bring him in...always liked Coles. This is one of the few WR's out there that I could see us bringing in that are currently available that would be an upgrade to our WR's. Obviously Housh or Boldin would be better, but Coles isnt a bad option.
H2o Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 That is surprising, but they also say that a "reunion" is possible. Of the many cap casualties, this is one guy actually worth bringing in. Definitely. He would help because he's not afraid to run across the middle. Then they definitely couldn't double Evans because Coles' speed is almost up there with Lee. He could torch the defense also.
KD in CA Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Coles is a solid WR and would be a great addition. There is zero chance that the Bills pay for a top flight WR so this is as good as they are going to get in free agency.
silvermike Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I'll note that Coles is a few months younger than Houshmandzadeh, and while he hasn't put up the same numbers, he's never had Carson Palmer throwing his way either.
beastly23 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 COLES IS AN UPGRADE. HE WILL BRING MUCH MORE STABILITY TO THE OFFENSE THAN A ROOKIE OR ANY RECEIVER BESIDES HOUSH AND BOLDIN. BRING HIM IN
BuffaloBill Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 He typed this entire thread one handed. Not something I would want to think about Funny comment though
Astrobot Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I'd say Coles and a Center on FA and Pettigrew in RD#1 and the offense is set.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Scouts Inc. Comment: Coles is an eight-year veteran who has average size, but good overall athletic ability. He has decent push off the line of scrimmage with good quickness, balance and agility to be a solid route runner. He is a tough competitor who has good courage and concentration in traffic. He will extend away from his body over the middle, but may be best on perimeter patterns. He appears to have a good feel for the game and can convert routes effectively versus disguising coverages. Coles has enough speed to stretch deep zones, but isn't an explosive player. He is a well-built athlete who has some power to break tackles on the second level, but is best eluding defenders and getting upfield. He is a willing blocker, but his lack of size hinders his effectiveness. Coles is a good football player who uncharacteristically missed six games due to injury and still led the team in receiving touchdowns. He's 5'11" and 193 pounds. He'll turn 32 in December. 2006 NYJ 16 91 1098 12.1 58 6 2007 NYJ 12 55 646 11.7 57 6 2008 NYJ 16 70 850 12.1 54 7
Albany,n.y. Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 The obvious place for Coles is Miami, reunited with Pennington.
Bill from NYC Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 The obvious place for Coles is Miami, reunited with Pennington. He can still play Harvey. That would be an incredible signing for Buffalo.

Of the many cap casualties, this is one guy actually worth bringing in. perhaps.....I saw him drop a lot of passes the little I saw him. Looked like the Robert Royal of WR's. Nonetheless....worth bringing in and seeing if he can make it. He certainly would take the double coverage off of Evans.
