BuffaloBill Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 The Bills tendered jackson the minimum today. Article on Two Bills Drive Homepage. Let's hope the Bills do the right thing and sign him up under a better longer term contract. The guy has earned it. Technically though the Bills hold all the cards right now. They do not have to do anything other than the action they have already taken.
Beerball Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Actually, they tendered him yesterday, and it's already being discussed about 6 threads down... link Damn, why did they do that? I was hoping they would sign him to a 3 or 4 year deal. Damn.
Magox Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Damn, why did they do that? I was hoping they would sign him to a 3 or 4 year deal. Damn. That doesn't mean they necessarily won't sign him to a deal. They just had to do it before the deadline. Hopefully they will work out a deal in the next coming months.
ddaryl Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 the tendser is a formality. To keep Fred from becoming a free agent. He'll get his multi-year deal IMHO
RayFinkle Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Damn, why did they do that? I was hoping they would sign him to a 3 or 4 year deal. Damn. They had to tender him before friday or he would become a UFA. They can still negotiate a longer term deal.
H2o Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 the tendser is a formality. To keep Fred from becoming a free agent. He'll get his multi-year deal IMHO I hope so. It would be a really sad situation to watch them screw the guy over after he's CERTAINLY proven his worth to our team.
Steely Dan Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 If they only tendered him the bare minimum then it seems to me like if they sign Taylor that Jackson may be gone for a draft pick.
Beerball Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Trade bait for a top flight WR. You can't trade a tender.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 You can't trade a tender. You can if you drive a BMW.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Trade bait for a top flight WR. In what fantasy world do you trade a backup rb for a "top flight wr?" You can't even pull that bull sh-- on Madden
