BeastMode54 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 could he be the veteran QB backup we could use?
DDD Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 A good choice that could probably be signed on the cheap.
Flbillsfan#1 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 good vet back up Yeah he is so good he was released by the Chiefs.
Tipster19 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 could he be the veteran QB backup we could use? I think he would be a good, sensible addition. Him being a very seasoned veteran who has played in a similiar climate as Buffalo's only adds to his value to a team like the Bills IMO. I suggested Kyle Boller in a post yesterday but I think that Huard just might be the better choice.
robkmil Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I wouldn't be too upset about adding him, it makes sense.
The Tomcat Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Gus Ferrotte may be available soon as well.
Nightcrawler Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Huard is exactly what the Bills need. Not good enough to be a starter but solid back-up. Not a guy on the way out of the league. Good character from all accounts. Hasn't ever been mentioned as a "me" first kind of guy.Won't cost a lot of money. Better than Losman and Hamdan. Still has some upside too his career potentially. Sign Huard for two years at 3 million. Draft a project QB in rounds 4-6 to be a #3.
VOR Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Draft a project QB in rounds 4-6 to be a #3. Drew Willy!
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 My exact thinking when I saw his release. He fits the bill........no pun intended.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 He definitely had his moments in KC, and he couldn't be worse than JP right? For a team that's constantly looking for cheap options, signing Huard wouldn't surprise (or upset) me one bit.
RayFinkle Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Any player with ties to Dan Marino can go fall down some stairs.
Fan in Chicago Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 could he be the veteran QB backup we could use? If all we are looking for is a backup, he would be a very good choice. But if the coaching staff feels they need someone to push TE, then we need to look elsewhere.
