High Mark Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Did anyone notice that we are the only team to have a sponsor for out 50th.... and that the sponsors logo is bigger than both of the Bills logos. Thats a new level of cheap.

Thats a new level of cheap. That's the version of the logo Tops is allowed to use. The one provided for media use and pictured on the merchandise available in the Pro Shop doesn't include the sponsorship.

Thats a new level of cheap. The Tops thingy isn't on the uniform patch but maybe it would get JJ to STFU.

Interesting though that they all have similarities with the big "50" and the double emblem idea. I wonder if the league mandated certain aspects of the design.

I wonder if the league mandated certain aspects of the design. Yeah, it's entirely possible they were all designed with input from whatever NFL Properties is calling itself now ...
Don Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 I have always been a fan of the roman numeral for the year, but a big "L" would be pretty odd looking. Still, they could have done leaps and bounds better. If there is any justice, the titans will have an oil derrick spewing on the ref that didn't call "forward pass"
CFLstyle Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I think the Raiders one is as bad as the Bills'. Chargers' and Patriots' logos look amazing.
Don Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 The Chargers logo looks like its wearing a hair piece...

Thats a new level of cheap. WTF! On the flip side of things... Did anyone ever notice that the Bills stadium was named after a corporate entity before many others started doing that... IE: Rich... Then when others started doing it more predominantly, the Bills became the Ralph. Ya, that is BFLO... Always copying 20 years too late or going against the grain in the here and now.
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 It looks like a home-town beer label from sometime in the '50's. I know Cincy... When I saw it, I immediately thought of 50 Ale! Maybe it is just the number 50? Family Brand, Labatt 50 Ale

I think my daughter's hamster could come up with something better than that. Hell, I think I could come up with something better than that. Double hell, I think jpera nah, never mind that would never work.
Haven Moses Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 The Chargers logo looks like its wearing a hair piece... Looks like Barney Rubble's hairpiece.
DasNootz Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Creative staff is always the first to go in a down economy.... Check out the patch that the Mets are wearing for their first season in the new ballpark. I've submitted my version to the "Offical - I can make a better 50th logo in under 30 minutes" thread. Lets get the creative juices flowing and see if we can come up with something.
