SKOOBY Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I was at the home opener last season and we smoked the Hawks. I followed the team in every down and instance just like usual but after the SD game, it was all down hill. If the Bills start 5-1 again, are you going to get excited??
lets_go_bills Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I'll be excited but cautious and wary. I won't say squat until there's a "x" next to Buffalo in the standings, signaling we clinched a playoff spot.
bizell Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 well, it all depends who we'd have beaten at that point in time.. but yeah, i'll take 5-1.
SWVABillsFan Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I'll take 5-1 if the injury bug doesn't hit the BILLS again.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I'll be a LOT more skeptical than I was this year...having said that, yes, if you can't get excited over a 5-1 record there's no reason to watch at all.
el Tigre Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Hell yea,I'll be fired up. Why wouldn't I be?

marauderswr80 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 depends on how they went 5-1. Was it by the skin of their teeth or did they actually put on a nice showing in complete dominance? I'd be excited but the 2008 season would be in the back of my mind.
Adam Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Of course I will- do you have something against enjoying yourself? Let it go- if they play well, enjoy it.

I will because they will have done it without Lynch for the first four games.
taterhill Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Ill get excited if the Bills go up 7-0 in the home opener

cantankerous Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I will be excited if such a thing transpires. I will however, not get too excited knowing last year could happen again with Mauron as HC.
The Avenger Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 The only way I allow myself to get exited about going 5-1 is if those 5 wins break down as 2-0 vs. New England, 2-0 vs. Miami and 1-0 agant the Jets.
8-8 Forever? Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Ill get excited if the Bills go up 7-0 in the home opener WELL SAID. I'LL BE HAPPY WITH 3-3.. THAT WILL BE A MIRACLE...
Tcali Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 not if they look as soft as they did last year. i figured out they were a fraud the day they went 4-0. same here......they were getting manhandled by both the raiders and the rams.....nuff said
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 no because i have been burned too many times. i will just be a nervous wreck refusing to believe it is "legit" and waiting immenint impending doom disclaimer: i'll probably be drinking the koolaid again ready to hop on the band wagon only to have my hopes and dreams crushed agian... drinking heavily
major Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Absolutely. I get excited anytime we win - even if it's a meaningless game after we've been eliminated from playoff contention.
