Three years ago the 49ers gave Michael Lewis a six year, $30 million contract with $10 million guaranteed. That was then, this is now. Let's figure low and say he goes to the highest bidder at 5 years, $25 million with $14 million guaranteed. In other words, about $5 million/year. The first thing we see is no pass rush, so the QB plants and scans the field then passes. We're too busy screamin' about Kelsey, Denney, Copeland being swallowed up, that our rage is transferred to the secondary. "McGee got burned!, Whitner got rolled!"
