Sadly, I wonder if such things should be expressed then when others hear it we can respond with disgust and object to the thought. Even if if it not said the thought is just wrong. You don't like the guys politics .. fine .. that is what voting is for but to say what was said earlier is just plain sad and disgusting. I don't much like Obama's politics but man the guy won the election. Let's see if he can manage the country better than the last prez. Like it or not he is here for at least four years so you might as well support him until the next election rolls around. This is coming from me - a white, middle aged Repubican (mostly) guy. You know, nowhere to go, begging the american people for forgiveness for dragging them in socialism, wasting nearly a trillion dollars on jobs that wont exist or wont last. Failed social programs that are more marxist than american, lining the pocket of constituents, yadayadayada. No recourse but a solemn admississon of guilt and defeat. Hanging is soooooo pre 1865. C'mon ... the statement is not vague on the surface nor in its implied meaning .. as I said earlier it is just plain ugly and can do nothing but stir up innapropriate thoughts and images. Keep in mind that hanging / lynching did not stop in 1865 as you suggest. It is a sick and disgusting practice that continued well into this century and did not stop until the 70's finally rolled around. As far as I am concerned both major parties have failed the American people. Finally, say what you want about Obama but it is the Congress that is to act as a check and balance to the president. They control the money. Right now they can't get out of their own way trying to grandstand over the collapse of the economy and their collective responsibility in it. Save the litany on lynching. Just because 43% of white males voted for Obama doesnt mean racism is dead by any means. The "equal but special" treatment that vocal members of the aforementioned minority demand will anger most levelheaded individuals untill the perceived double standard corrects itself.
