Just Jack Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Excel is bugging the hell out of me. Before when I'd use the cursor keys, I could move from cell to cell, now it acts as if I'm scrolling the page, leaving the cursor in the current cell. Since when I enter data, I usually cursor over to the next cell, it's screwing up my production. I've gone through the menus, help files, and Google but can not find where I might have accidentally changed a setting. Help.
KD in CA Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Is your scroll lock on? Sounds like the problem to me.
shoot70 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Assuming you are using a mouse... try unpluging it, and then use the cursor keys. If this takes care of your problem, your mouse is defective.
inkman Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Restart your computer. That's what my former boss did to "fix" all his computer problems.

Go into the mouse setup under control panel and make sure "Turn on ClickLock" is unchecked.

Ramius Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Yup, sounds like scroll lock is on. If that doesn't work, Alt-F4 usually fixes the problem.

Just Jack Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Is your scroll lock on? That was it. It's right above my backspace key. Best guess is I must have hit it accidentally instead of hitting the backspace.
