Brian Orakpo, DE 6-4, 265 Texas is the 10th bestplayer and Everette Brown DE 6-3, 250 Florida State is the 12th. 2nd Round(43rd pick). Chase Coffman TE 6-5, 245 Missouri is the 44th best player in the draft. 3rd round(75th pick). Antoine Caldwell OC 6-3, 300 Alabama is the 74th best player in the draft and Michael Hamlin FS 6-3, 210 Clemson is the 75th best player in the draft. 4th round(108th) pick. A.Q. Shipley C 6-1, 290 Penn State is the 108th best player.
Thurman#1 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Whatever else we should do, we do NOT need a 290 pound center, not going up against Wilfork and Kris Jenkins. That would immediately and permanently mean requiring an offensive double-team, which frees up the LBs, on running plays. We need a big physical man at center. Look at the thread on Samson Satele up now. The Fins are going with a new center because theirs isn't physical enough.
