BillsCelticsAngelsBama Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 He said he misses his family in California and will play in Buffalo if drafted but really doesn't enjoy the cold.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 He said he misses his family in California and will play in Buffalo if drafted but really doesn't enjoy the cold. I thought he was from New Jersey.
BillsCelticsAngelsBama Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Sorry, it's late, I'm at work and was being a little sarcastic with all this talk about Trent Edwards lately. But I'm sure he said what they all say, he is working hard, thinks he can help a team and doesn't have a preference where he wants to play; just wants a chance. For once I'd love to see a Draftee, when asked say, "Well, to tell you the truth, I grew up hating the Cowboys and if they draft me I think I'll sell insurance instead". That would be refreshing.
Wagon Circler Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I thought he was from New Jersey. I know he went to high school in NJ. Guess his family moved out west.
Beerball Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I know he went to high school in NJ. Guess his family moved out west. Yeah, they did. Family settled in Modesto.
Sisyphean Bills Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Yeah, they did. Family settled in Modesto. Do they were gloves as a family unit?
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 recap? Here is what I remember: He is working out in NJ for the combine and been working out with former NFL assistant Jerry Rhome. Been working on identifying pass protections, etc. They asked him if there's any QB he can compare himself to. Willy said people have told him he's a little like Marc Bulger. Willy is a big fan of Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. Willy has asked how much time he spent in the shotgun formation; he said about 30%. They were running a hybrid West Coast at Buffalo which was agreed that it was a bit like the Packers run. He sounded a bit sketchy/nervous on explaining some of this stuff.
JJBuffalo Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Just saw a mock with the Jets taking him in the 3rd
Big Turk Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Yeah, they did. Family settled in Modesto. his family loves a bunch of Nuts!!! (sorry bad joke---the minor league baseball team there is nicknamed the Modesto Nuts)
Big Turk Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I think Willy could be a pretty good player in the NFL...he usually played pretty well even in games the Bulls were clearly overmatched in...
