John Adams
Good for him--maybe some professional athletes can take notice. [One of the rescued passengers] said she told Sullenberger: "You're my hero. And God was your co-pilot." She said Sullenberger laughed at that one and said: "No, Jeff was my co-pilot." http://www.newsday.com/services/newspaper/...0,6186032.story And another. Interviewer Katie Couric asked exactly the kind of what-exactly-happened, what-did-you-think-then questions that drew colorful details from the captain, a very succinct and focused man. But one question jumped out from the others: "Did you, at any point, pray?" It seemed to be the only question that surprised Sullenberger, who had taken his plane from a normal take-off through a disasterous bird-strike that killed both engines to ditching in a frigid river in less than five minutes. His answer: "I would imagine somebody in the back was taking care of that for me while I was flying the airplane." http://content.usatoday.com/communities/re...9/02/62594705/

Isn't it nice to have Sully and Harry Markopolos after all of the disappointments we've had lately? I hope folks don't come down too hard on him for not sounding like a Grammy winner. HopsGuy
Ok..ok...God !@#$ up. Thank goodness we had Sully to make it all right. What's goodness? Anyway, it's just nice to see someone do their job. He's also properly crediting the others in his crew as well has the training he's received over the years. This time, hard work and fidelity to duty paid off. It's like Gilbert & Sullivan wrote it. /no homo
