Way to go VJ91, slam a guy with some vision and a willingness to through an idea out there and castigate him as sell-serving and ego driven. Maybe of more of the people who are the leaders in WNY had some vision and willingness to bring ideas to the table on a whole host of fronts, this region and state wouldn't be dead. What he as done is what public discourse is all about, bring anj idea to the table and discuss its merits and allow for a discussion of the pros and cons of it and often, other ideas and options come up. You're regressive mentality is what keeps WNY in the tail spin its in.

If he wasn't, he would have approached Niagara County before he put up his stupid web site and started selling his stupid Niagara Falls Bills crap on it. In case you have forgotten, for the past 50 years, the Bills have been known as the Buffalo Bills. This guy is crazy, in my opinion, and it pisses me off that his idea includes changing the Bills' name to Niagara. I'll wait and see what Jim Kelly and his guys say about a new stadium in Niagara Falls, but with the same Buffalo Bills playing in it. You go on your buddies web site and buy up all of his Niagara Bills gear if you want to.
silvermike
"Niagara Bills" is such a disastrous idea, I don't understand why anyone takes it seriously. "The Buffalo Bills" are a brand with a lot of history and goodwill, current status notwithstanding. A lot of the value of that team is wrapped up in the name and legacy, it's an asset, not a liability. Throwing it away for "Niagara" is pointless; people in the greater region don't think of themselves as "Niagrans" or anything like that, unlike New England or Carolina. This is like saying the Yankees should change their names to "The Tristate Area Yankees" or, what was it that Gregg Easterbrook used to call the Redskins? The Potomac Drainage Basin Indigineous Persons. None of this is to say that a stadium in the Niagara Falls area is a terrible idea, it's just the name.
