Beerball Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 If not so injury plagued....maybe one of the all time great RBs and sure fire HOFer??? I know--post from left field--but what the helll has he been spotted walking the corridors of a hotel nekkid? i think he would be our best #2.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 If not so injury plagued....maybe one of the all time great RBs and sure fire HOFer??? I know--post from left field--but what the helll I offer the same question about Bo Jackson. If he had concentrated on Football only and played 9 seasons is he a HOFer? I say yes to both.
KD in CA Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I offer the same question about Bo Jackson. If he had concentrated on Football only and played 9 seasons is he a HOFer? I say yes to both. Close call on Bo. His stats over 9 years would give him 10,000+ yards and put him in the range of guys like Tiki, Rickey Waters, Eddie George. Great backs, but not quite HOF. Of course, Bo was a larger than life figure who may have gotten extras points for that. Also, if he actually had the benefit of training camp rather than showing up for the season in October, his production may have been even greater. Certainly his YPC average indicates that had he gotten the carries, he might have had even greater production and been one of the all time best.

Starting in October meant he hadn't taken the punishment by the last 4-5 games that every other RB had, so maybe his production would have gone down.
Spiderweb Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 No matter how short his career was or how few carries he actually had, he was awesome to watch, even if only for a short while.
