In 1918 the last time the Red Sox won the WS, there was a massive Flu outbreak, Killing almost 675,000 people in the US. and somewhere between 25 million and 100 million worldwide, the flu killed more Americans than all american wars from WWI to Iraq. when you think of the lack of flu shots and the irony of the Red Sox winning, it could make some worry.
