BuffaloBill
http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1...d1-76dfcc1b5a94 Article about our scouting staff looking at all of the underclassmen that have made themselves draft eligable. Normal stuff this time of year - let's hope they dop their job well and find a diamond in the rough - like Andre Reed - 4th round- Kutztown State - usualy there are one or two of these types of situtions across the entire NFL in each draft. The Bills really need one or two pleasant suprises from the late rounds.
cantankerous
The reason why is Buffalo’s scouting staff like all the others in the NFL strictly scout the seniors in the fall. They don’t have time to waste writing up reports on a junior that may or may not declare for the draft. “Once the juniors declare, it’s really your first exposure to them,” said Majeski. “It’s just a different time frame. Instead of being able to go back and check on them, they’re new to the scene so it requires a little extra work.” I find it disturbing the team doesn't have anyone looking at the juniors potentially coming out early. Nobody? Is this common practice amongst the league?

Fewell733
inexcusable. i think they basically run the same article every year. It would be more of a concern to me if we have shied away from drafting juniors and I haven't seen any evidence that this is the case.
Got_Wood
Yeah, you would think that they would have a top 100 list to keep an eye on at least. I mean, this is the only job they have, right? All they have to do is watch talent year round. They should know exactly who to do their homework on by the time each underclassmen declares. Pretty weak.
