Mister Defense
I say that Wilson finally makes it in on the 50th anniversary of the AFL--that seems very fitting, perfect. All of those paranoid haters out there, the ones lamenting losing the Bills because of him, are out of line and logic. He has kept the Bills here, didn't have to, and despite the fact that almost no local Bills fan likes that our beloved team now plays a game in Toronto, did it in order to keep the Bills viable in Buffalo. (Don't we have the lowest ticket prices in the NFL still? How do people call this guy selfish and greedy??) Bruce, a shoo in; can't wait to go to the ceremony and shout out his name with the other Bills fans. When we had Bruce we knew we had a chance to be great--every year. Andre probably won't get in, which is as logical as the Bills fans hating Ralph. He is one of the best receivers to ever play, led the league when he retired, and was a major factor in those Bills teams being one of the best of all time. How many Super Bowls did Chris Carter help his teams get to? Yes, Carter should be in too, but not before Andre. Go Bills in the Hall! And maybe the voters come to their senses about Andre. 300yrds
I hope Bruce and Andre gets in, but come on Ralph. Other than being an original owner and alive, all he has done is hire Pollian. Oh yeah we had OJ too, but we had to be so bad we got to pick him 1st overall, and we where still bad. Ralph in the Hall Of Fame only furthers the idea that he is doing a good job with this team. I love Ralph and thank him for his time he has kept the Bills in Buffalo, but his current actions with this team don't resemble Hall of Fame caliber. I love Ralph and thank him for his time he has kept the Bills in Buffalo, but his current actions with this team don't resemble Hall of Fame caliber. First of all, The Bills won the AFL Championship twice, and years before Polian. Ralph has been a major player in the AFL, and the NFL for almost 50 years. He is responsible for helping keep more than one team in the league alive, and keeping the franchise in Buffalo despite the continued belief that the Bills were leaving for more profitable deals, on many occasions. Also, keep in mind the Bills won four straight AFC Championships in the 1990's...and no GM, ever, has been solely responsible for a team's success. Don't let your petty hatred of Ralph confuse the issue. Owners don't make the HOF because they outspent other owners in an attempt to win championships, nor is the honor based on what the owner has done lately. Al Davis is in the HOF, and what has he done lately (other than embarrass the league, every chance he gets)? If it wasn't for help from Ralph Wilson, Davis would have been without a team before the AFL/NFL merger. It is a travesty that Ralph isn't in the HOF. The league should be ashamed of itself. How many championships did the Bills win in the AFL? Do you believe that the teams he has fielded have not had the talent (and opportunities) to win Super Bowls? The early 90s team was great, should have won some of those, but Ralph Wilson provided his team with what it needed to be great. Which current actions do you refer to?
