San Jose Bills Fan
If we get another receiver, I want a burner.. Firstly we have a burner in Lee Evans and secondly, players such as Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Jerry Rice, to name only a few, had slightly lowered draft grades because of average times in the 40. Others such as Steve Largent, Art Monk, Andre Reed, etc, etc, had all time careers without having speed. Speed in and of itself is meaningless. Just as Johnny Lam Jones, Peter Warrick, etc, etc, etc. The consensus top receiver in this draft by far, Michael Crabtree is not a burner. Neither is Andre Johnson who most consider among the top 3 receivers in the NFL. I could go on forever but I think you get my point.

lets_go_bills
We should look to grab a WR via free agency, but I'm not on board with dropping a lot on one. As for Furrey, I think Clayton and Reggie Williams are better options.
Steely Dan
How about Stevie Johnson getting some more reps, and James Hardy taking the lead out of his pockets? My feeling exactly. The Bills need to bring some more talent into camp at WR but right now WR is the deepest position on the team. If Furrey is willing to play for vet min then bring him in it can't hurt but anything over that is a bad idea. JMO There is already a very Furry Bill that just passed through congress yesterday. Save it for the PPP board. This is a football discussion.
Sisyphean Bills
He didn't have many catches cause he wasn't on the field much over Johnson, Williams (while he was there), and McDonald. Well, yeah. Roy E. Williams was pretty damn useless last season with Detriot and with Dallas. McDonald is a poor man's Josh Reed. Being "buried" behind these guys isn't a mark of greatness. And their quarterbacking was in total disarray. Was it ever.I think the Bills don't need a spectacular veteran receiver, we just need a competent guy in the mix that knows what he's doing while the young guys learn the game. What young guys? Josh Reed, 8 years. Lee Evans, 6 years. Roscoe Parrish, 5 years. OK, Hardy and Johnson are young guys but I'd rather they get on the field and learn in their second year rather than get cut for an average white guy -- roster space is limited and it would be better to upgrade the top than the bottom of the list. he also led the league in receptions a few years back What has he done for me lately? Next to zero.
