BuffaloBill
groudbreaking research hopefully funded by the govment While I tend to be somewhat conservative in my thinking there is a simple answer for the people who get upset with this stuff .... don't watch. You have to decide what is more important not exposing your kids to the commercials or watching the game. A second less drastic option is to go buy yourself a DVR and watch the game at a time when your kids are not with you. Having said all of that I do feel for parents that want to try to minimize their kid's opportunities to learn about sex, alcohol, drugs etc until they are a bit older. With TV, magazines and the internet it is hard to hide any of this stuff. Just walk through the grocery store and the checkout aisle is plastered with cleavage shots and sex headlines (not that I mind). Not to mention the internet makes porn so readily acessible that it is almost scary to think how easily kids can get at it. At the same time kids have a natural curiosity about things so they are likely to get exposed to "bad" stuff in the process of learning about life. The trick for all of you who are parents is how do you equip them to handle it.

Steely Dan
groudbreaking research hopefully funded by the govment I doubt the government gives these idiots any money. It's most likely funded by a group of people who can't debunch their panties. Yet NBC won't let PETA air their Super Bowl Ad Agreed, I don't think that ad is as bad as some I've seen but the SB game has been somewhat more conservative with their ads. They've banned a GoDaddy.com ad before. For PETA this has worked out even better. They don't have to pay the exorbitant SB ad prices and are getting more pub than they could with the Super Bowl ad itself.
BuffaloBill
Yet NBC won't let PETA air their Super Bowl Ad I'm seriously considering going vegetarian after viewing that .... but then again I live about a mile off of steakhouse row here in big D so when the wind wafts the wrong way I'll want steak again.
