EasternOHBillsFan
Sorry, but your list sucks. Here is mine: 1. Bills (Kelly, Lofton, Reed, Beebe, AND Thomas) 2. Raiders (Bo Jackson's speed) 3. Chiefs (Okoye's power was legendary) 4. Oilers (The receivers!) 5. Dolphins (Marino and receivers, but the running game sucked with Byars)* 6. 49ers (See Dolphins - great passing game, weaker running game) 7. Giants (clone of last two) 8. Eagles (Great defense and passing game) 9. Bears (Great defense and tricky RB) 10. Redskins (Best balance) *I personally caused Marino to fumble so often by calling the rollout play and blitzing with Biscuit that it is a fatal weakness... I once scored over 100 points against them because of it LOL
C.Biscuit97
Awesome topic. The greatest video game ever. Luckily, we have a working NES (complete with a vidoe game on top of the Tecmo and my Bills' Relentless Book on top of the Nintendo to counterbalance). My roommates and I play all the time and will be having a Tecmo tourney soon ($10 buy-in, pizza and beer, winner takes the rest). IMO, there's no way the Bills are lower than #2. They are the most balanced team in the game. They don't have a weakness. I refuse to use them because they are 2 dominant. QB Eagles is the ultimate weapon and is a female dog to play against. Also, Robb Thomas of the Chiefs (white wr) is sneaky good. There's nothing as depressing as your friend catching a bomb with Thomas and singing one of Robb Thomas' many cheesy songs. Quick trivia: there are 2 active players in TSB? Also, there are at least 3 former or current head coaches in the game.
C.Biscuit97
Great topic! The best was the original TSB on nes...the follow-up to tecmo bowl. I have a cracked version on my psp with updated rosters. I'd say the Bills were 2nd after San Fran in that game. Former Canisius High School great Phil McConkney is the starting kick returner in the original Tecmo. IMO, that would be better than catching a touchdown in some meaningless Super Bowl. Ohh man, that's tough. I know that Hebert was QB of the Falcons, but Favre was a backup on the game, right?? He was drafted in 1990.

And second, there is no way, even if you use the 49ers and play the Patriots against the computer, there is no way you scored 100 points in one game. I call BS on that one. And dude, the Chiefs are not better than the Giants and the Niners, have you been smoking with Dr. Dankenstein?

I scored 100 points in a game. I would prove it to you if I could. 1. Call the Marino rollout play every time. 2. Use Bennett to blitz up the middle and sack Marino. 3. More often than not, Marino fumbles, scoop up, and score fast. The Chiefs with Okoye were crazy good- he'd break tackles like crazy, and the passing game was good. I'm not on crack... Okoye was the bomb.

The answer is, and I did not lok this up, Jeff Feagles, John Carney AND Junior Seau. Good stuff. I forgot the PAts* re-signed him. Talk about a freak to play that long at LB. And the coaches were Mike Tice, Gary Kubiak, and the former Bills great Mike Mularkey.
mjohns85
Best overall team was the 49ers But the Bills with Thurman, Lions with Barry, and Raiders with Bo were pretty much unstoppable against any team besides the Giants with LT. all these replies and only one person brought up lt? he was by far the most dominant player in the game

auburnbillsbacker
The eagles were unstoppable. Here is all you had to do. 1) Pick a pass play 2) If your opponent covered your receivers than you ran Cunnigham 3) If your opponent used the controlled player to attack Cunningham, you passed the ball 4) td ever time If things the bills were the 3rd best team
My Friends Call Me Tebucky
Ahh, the old nose tackle dive play. I'd put Chicago into the top 5 teams because you couldn't stop Refrigerator Perry on the nose tackle slant dive at the QB. The NT from the Packers was really great at that too. The Chiefs and Giants were very underrated in that game because you block like 70% of field goals and extra points with Derrick Thomas and Lawrence Taylor, it seemed. Fewell733
can't forget the Lions. Barry Sanders is impossible to stop when you change their running plays.

Yes, he's damn good (that's why I have the Eagles ranked 4th), but by no means unstoppable. The cliche response when discussing Tecmo is, "oh Bo Jackson is sick" or "Cunningham is unstoppable," but don't forget there is a lot of defensive strategy going on in a good game of man vs man Tecmo Super Bowl. And second, yes, the NT dive is literally unstoppable and is a glitch in the game. Should never be used between two consenting players.
