metzelaars_lives Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I got 1. 49ers 2. Giants 3. Dolphins 4. Eagles 5. Bills 6. Oilers 7. Raiders 8. Redskins 9. Chiefs 10. Bears also, the Bucs are not that bad. Vinny can loft em to Mark Carrier and Wayne Haddix is one of the fastest DB's in the game.

If the Eagles had ONE good WR then they would be number 3 but they don't. Oilers had FOUR GREAT WR's and a great QB and a decent RB (who fumbled every other caryy but hey!) Redskins would be a top 3 team if QB didn't suck so bad; ditto for the Raiders!
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Awesome game. I remember playing on SNES back in the day. What are you on, PC?
QB Bills Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Great topic! The best was the original TSB on nes...the follow-up to tecmo bowl. I have a cracked version on my psp with updated rosters. I'd say the Bills were 2nd after San Fran in that game.

TheBlackMamba Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 teco bowl??? come on...we are in the madden age now lol but since we're on the subject remeber joe montana talking football? the commentator would be 3 plays late on every call
Magox Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 1. whatever team Bo Jackson was on LOL Ya I remember ripping it up with Bo Jackson!! I was about to same the same thing. Even though the Giants defense was super Nasty!!
Typical TBD Guy Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I got 1. 49ers 2. Giants 3. Dolphins 4. Eagles 5. Bills 6. Oilers 7. Raiders 8. Redskins 9. Chiefs 10. But from my own playing experience, this is how I saw #2 through #9: 1. 49ers 2. Bills 3. Raiders 4. Chiefs 5. Dolphins 6. Giants 7. Redskins 8. Oilers 9. Eagles 10. Bears
Cugalabanza Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Beebe is open every single time for the long ball!

metzelaars_lives Posted January 28, 2009 Author Posted January 28, 2009 agreed, i clicked to reply with "#1 should be the Raiders, a sweep to Bo was always unstoppable and on defense Howie Long dominated" You guys are oversimplifying Tecmo Super Bowl. Bo Jackson is the best running back in the game, bar none. And Marcus Allen is probably top 5. However, if I pick a running play every time and force you to beat me with one of the most inept passing games in the game, I'm going to beat you every time. Now if you're playing against the computer you may have a point.
davefan66 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Tecmo Bowl 2008 was supposed to come out late '08 for DS. Don't know if it has or not. http://www.tecmogames.com/press.asp?id=38

/dev/null Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Best overall team was the 49ers But the Bills with Thurman, Lions with Barry, and Raiders with Bo were pretty much unstoppable against any team besides the Giants with LT.
Philly McButterpants Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Greatest.Football.Video.Game.Ever. And you could make an argument for the Bengals being in the top 10. I remember ripping it up with their Rb . . .
DrDawkinstein Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Obviously your cousins weren't very good at Tecmo Super Bowl. i believe we were all 8-10 years old at the time so probably not. yes, you as an adult playing an 8 year old would probably win...
