Jim in Anchorage Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Champagne drunk from the Lombardy trophy.
Just Jack Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Champagne drunk from the Lombardy trophy. Silly poster, the Lombardi doesn't have a cup shape like the Stanley Cup. As for me, anything cooked over flame is good tailgate food.
stinky finger Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 A bullion sized cube of hashish under glass with a sprig of spearmint. It's a wonderful precursor to frozen kitkat's.........and skittles.
R. Rich Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 As for me, anything cooked over flame is good tailgate food. We'll see.

BuckyFillUps Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 18 pack of Blue light. Flask of Jack 1/2 lb Bison burgers with grilled Vidalia onions, soft kaiser rolls, lettuce, provolone and american, chipotle garlic mayo. Doobie optional.
NicholasCal1 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 hot dogs, brats with sour kraut or cheese burgers.
marauderswr80 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I usually go with a tenderloin thats been marinated in some type of sweet glaze, throw that on the grill 8 minutes per side, then usually have some grilled veggies and some baked beans. I do a lot of chicken as well.......I try to keep it somewhat healthy, the less grease the better. Taking dumps at the Ralph are rather dangerous!
BUFFALOTONE Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I marinate some skirt steak and chicken over night in teriyaki. Burgers are boring but I always have Salens on hand right before we go into the game. Mind you this is in So Fla. We only get to do it once a year so we go all out. 1st thing that goes on the grill is bfast. eggs, sausage, bacon and the wife usually makes the biscuits at home. At around 11 we start the meat parade(sounds like one of SKOOBYS home videos). Steak, Chicken, Salens an sometimes sausage. Thinking about doing wings next year but not sure if I want to drag the fryer down there. Will see. And of course all of the sides and plenty O beer.

Wow, that burger description just made me incredibly hungry and my lunch break isn't for 3 1/2 hours haha

HereComesTheReignAgain Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Venison tenderloin marinated in Speidie. And of course Wings from the fryer with Anchor Bar sauce.

That's blasphemy. I agree with the chilli, I have come up with a pretty good recipe that I call my "circle the wagons" chilli.

Wooderson Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Wow, that burger description just made me incredibly hungry and my lunch break isn't for 3 1/2 hours haha We usually always talk about planning good food for Sundays, but then Sunday comes, you're hungover from the night before and hotdogs, burgers, and chips end up just being on the menu. Our pre-game meal consists of a spliff in the Town and Country on route 5 to the stadium, then beer, then food, then beer.

Our pre-game meal consists of a spliff in the Town and Country on route 5 to the stadium, then beer, then food, then beer. You sound like my group when we first got season tickets 12 years ago. We were all just getting out of college, all in our early 20s & we all used to hit the bar scene pretty hard. We would always talk about making a nice spread but come game day we were really unorganized & half the time we were so hungover we ended up getting to the stadium late & just brought beer. Over the years you get a wife, stop going out to the bars(or at least getting home at a decent hour) & your weekends in the fall revolve around going to bills games. We get pretty good food now, all prepared, ready to go the night before & get up to the stadium at 8am. Last year we did strip steaks, prime rib, lobster tails, deep fryed a turkey for the monday night game, chicken fajitas, along with the usual burgers & such.
