My guess is that this wont happen. It'll be the same as a 3rd party trying to make it in the US. I agree...if there can be a compromise, the automatic BCS bid could rotate between the WAC and the Mountain West. Boise State and Hawaii (both WAC teams) have been tough in recent years.
