BillsGuru4 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 How come the 49ers pick is #10 and we are #11 when we have the same record and they beat us this season?
lets_go_bills Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Tie breaker is strength of schedule. Ours was easier.
HotPocket Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 2007 draft the 49ers picked 11, Bills 12. 49ers got Patrick Willis, Bills too Marshawn Lynch. I would have loved Willis, but if drafting behind them this year means getting someone of Lynch's caliber, I'm willing to deal.

Especially since a big factor is that clearly, you'd rather have had their 11th spot, taking Willis, leaving that Poz spot open for any RB available (although I don't think Pittman or who ever got taken later that draft have seen the field much so far). S.O.S., IMO should be the tiebreaker AFTER head-to-head if available, but I can understand the NFL's justification.
