Gene Frenkle Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails So is this just Rush spewing crap to further incense his retarded listeners or is he really so blinded by his own partisanship, enormous personal bankroll and ego that he thinks it's OK for America to lie on the mat for another four years? Actually, who cares - I just don't see how anybody can truthfully buy into the hypocritical sh-- that this guys spews on a daily basis. I admit that I listen to him from time to time for the entertainment value, but I also know that some here are devoted listeners who mostly treat his word as gospel. A tiger truly can't change his stripes.

Kelly the Dog Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Rush is just another Howard Stern in a shirt & tie. The difference being that Stern tries to be stupid and is paid to be stupid, and even thinks himself that he is stupid. Rush tries to be smart and thinks he's paid to be smart, and actually does think he's smart.

Rush tries to be smart and thinks he's paid to be smart, and actually does think he's smart. Stern doesn't think he's stupid.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Stern doesn't think he's stupid. I think he intentionally tries to say stupid things, and be a goofball, and knows it's all a game, intentionally making himself look bad, look sexist, look racist, look like a blathering slob because his audience eats it up and pisses off his critics, which makes his audience like him even more. That's what I meant. I don't think he's a stupid guy at all, but rather smart, and not a slob or sexist or racist or a blathering fool. To some extent, Rush is smart enough to do the same thing to rile people up, to piss off his critics which his audience eats up. But Rush IMO actually thinks he's smart and always right and a genius.

I doubt it. But we can pretend because it makes you feel all lefty superior.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I doubt it. But we can pretend because it makes you feel all lefty superior. Fukk off. I think for example, Randy Rhodes and other lefties are just as bad as Rush. Olberman is just as bad as Hannity, etc.
Alaska Darin Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Fukk off. I think for example, Randy Rhodes and other lefties are just as bad as Rush. Olberman is just as bad as Hannity. Why would I think any other way? Rush is a shill. He knows it but he likes the much bigger paychecks that come with it. No different than Michael Savage, who is a completely created character. I'm more amazed than anyone can stomach any of it and then run out and vote for their "candidates".

I could care less what you think about them. I knew beforehand. I could care less what 100% partisan pundits think myself, too, from the right or left. I take offense to you replying to my post that I think the way I do about Rush Limbaugh because it makes me feel "lefty superior", when I feel the same way about his lefty counterparts. And when, for example, even though I like the President a lot right now (until I find out otherwise), I can't stand the majority of the lefty leadership. I take them all individually. Love a couple, like a couple, feel indifferent about a couple and hate a couple. You're just a miserable whiner because you cannot comprehend why anyone would think differently than you, and think everyone is inferior. I think Howard Stern's a different animal, because he's a comedian. Everything he says is meant to be a joke of some sort. And think he's fairly amusing a decent amount of time and hysterically funny once in awhile.
Jim in Anchorage Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Let's get one thing straight doofus kicks assRandi Rhodes on the other hand is an asshat Please don't mix the two up Damm it you beat me to that one. Ah well forever Young,I guess.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Let's get one thing straight doofus kicks assRandi Rhodes on the other hand is an asshat Please don't mix the two up Got it. I wasn't sure when I typed it whether her name was spelled right. Of course, I don't know much about Randy Rhodes either, although I can assume, without knowing a thing about them, that I consider his politics more reasonable than Randi's.

Randy Rhodes was Ozzy's guitar player on his first solo album. If you've heard Crazy Train, you've heard Randy Rhodes

Secondly, Rush is the smartest guy on the radio and TV no matter what you think...love'm or hate'm. If you listen to him, you would know that. But people who hate him do not listen to him. Thirdly, he did not say that. He said if Obama gravitates to the very left he will fail becuase socialist policies never worked. He also said if he works from the middle he hopes he will succeed. Funny, how we like to hear only what we want to hear. I saw the interview on Hannity last night so don't tell me otherwise.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Randy Rhodes was Ozzy's guitar player on his first solo album. If you've heard Crazy Train, you've heard Randy Rhodes Then I have heard him. And since he is or was very likely a drug crazed raving maniac, I still assume he has more reasonable politics than Randi.
Simon Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Then I have heard him. And since he is or was very likely a drug crazed raving maniac, I still assume he has more reasonable politics than Randi. He's dead. So I assume his politics are about the same.
Alaska Darin Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I could care less what you think about them. You completely misunderstood what I typed - sh-- happens. What I meant was "Why should I think you wouldn't think Randi Rhodes isn't a blowhard?" But thanks for letting me know... I knew beforehand. I could care less what 100% partisan pundits think myself, too, from the right or left. I take offense to you replying to my post that I think the way I do about Rush Limbaugh because it makes me feel "lefty superior", when I feel the same way about his lefty counterparts. Love a couple, like a couple, feel indifferent about a couple and hate a couple. The "lefty superior" thing was a joke. I guess I could have included a cute little face to make that more obvious. Of course, that wouldn't have set you off. I'm glad you are able to take the majority of the lefty leadership that you "can't stand" as individuals. You're just a miserable whiner because you cannot comprehend why anyone would think differently than you, and think everyone is inferior. Actually, I totally comprehend why people think differently than I do. Much of that is because so many are intellectually inferior. It is what it is. I do like the "miserable whiner" label. Mostly because it has so little basis in truth. Maybe I should go off hypocritically when you try and label me? I think Howard Stern's a different animal, because he's a comedian. Everything he says is meant to be a joke of some sort. And think he's fairly amusing a decent amount of time and hysterically funny once in awhile. I wouldn't say "everything he says is meant to be a joke..." but that is how he makes his money.

Funny, how we like to hear only what we want to hear. I saw the interview on Hannity last night so don't tell me otherwise. He didn't say that. What he said on Hannity was that if Obama acts just like Reagan, and does certain things that Rush likes, like keep the Bush tax cuts, he hopes he will succeed. That's really going out on a limb. But if he does anything else, he hopes he fails. He also said that "racism is the exclusive province of the left". That's real smart. Here is the transcript" LIMBAUGH: Now — this — I am so glad that he asked me that question. That you asked me this question. HANNITY: I'm glad to. LIMBAUGH: I'll tell you why. I am hearing many Republicans say that — well, we want him to succeed and prominent Republicans. Yes, we wanted — they have laid down. They have totally — they're drinking the Kool- Aid, too. They have no guts to stand up for what their beliefs are because they're afraid of criticism, they're afraid of being called racists, they're afraid of not having gotten with the program. Now success can be defined two ways. I said earlier I don't know about this guy. I really don't. I've got my — I've got my suspicions, and they're pretty close to convictions, but we're going to have to wait to see what he does. Now if he turns out to be a Reagan, if he adds Reagan to his recipe of FDR and Lincoln, and if he does cut some taxes. HANNITY: Yes. LIMBAUGH: If he does not eliminate the Bush tax cuts, I would call that success. So yes, I would hope he would succeed if he acts like Reagan, but if he's going to do FDR, if he's going to do the new, new deal all over which we will call here the raw deal, why would I want him to succeed? Look, he's my president. The fact that he is historic is irrelevant to me now. It matters not at all. I — if he is going to implement a far left — look it. I think it's already decided. $2 trillion in stimulus? The growth of government. I think the intent here is to create as many dependant Americans as possible looking to government for their hope and salvation. If he gets nationalized health care, I mean, it's over, Sean. We're never going to roll that back. That's the end of America as we have known it because that's then going to set the stage for everything being government owned, operated, or provided. Why would I want that to succeed? I don't believe in that. I know that's not how this country is going to be great in the future, it's not what made this country great.

First (without even having to leave this page) I'll (shudder) quote myself: I admit that I listen to him from time to time for the entertainment value As to your point about him not saying that, well if you actually opened the link as opposed to simply relying on your gut reaction and obviously flawed memory, you'd quickly realize that I linked to a transcript of your hero's radio show on his own website. Reading = Good
