High Mark Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Didnt see this posted yet, and I didnt look for a link, but it was just a breaking news entry onto sports center. They said that 95% of ownership now belongs to some guy named Ross. Does this mean Parcells can now opt out of his contract? I heard before that it was a possibility if the current owner sold majority ownership of the team. Not like the Bills would sign him, but having him out of the Dolphins front office is a plus.

Any chance that they can relocate to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean?
GG Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 This sale has been ongoing for about a year - this was the final closing, and yes, Parcells' could opt out if he wanted to.

Beerball Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 This sale has been ongoing for about a year - this was the final closing, and yes, Parcells' could opt out if he wanted to. And get his remaining $12M. I think he'll stay though...as long as he gets a new deal.

IDBillzFan Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 That's kind of funny. The dude said months ago he wanted to sell it before Obama became president. Got a real chuckle out of this.

Fingon Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Smart move selling now...as the capital gains tax increase would have nullified a lot of the teams appreciation.
Stampede Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 am i alone in wondering if he made a play for the Bills?
