BillsObserver Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 QUOTEAnderson reportedly interviewing with Bills By Chris Brown - Posted January 20th, 2009 The Buffalo News is reporting that former Bills defensive lineman Tim Anderson is in line to replace departed line coach Bill Kollar. Well, it could be worse. TREMENDOUS WORK.
K-Gun10 Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Wow - how bad do you have to be to have your top choices include a head coach that went 0-16 and a d-line coach whose unit racked up like 8 sacks all season? Really good point but they do have some of best young players in the league with Demeco Ryans and Mario Williams.
Lv-Bills Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Well, it could be worse. It could? What next, Chris Watson interviewing for our DB's coach?
BillsVet Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Isn't Chuck Dickerson available? He's got a history with the team. Just kidding.
Steely Dan Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 It could? What next, Chris Watson interviewing for our DB's coach? That's the funniest line of 2009! (Hey that rhymes) This is not a big deal. Why did Houston need a new DL coach? I'm guessing this is one of the guys Wilson wanted Jauron to replace and instead of firing him they let him go to another team. This will work out if and only if they find somebody better. IMO, that shouldn't be too hard.
EndZoneCrew Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Isn't Chuck Dickerson available? Yes.....bring him in
thebandit27 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Actually, neither are probably going to be free agents. Both will most likely be franchised, whether they like it or not. As far as this move by the Bills, I can't see the harm, seeing as our DLine is pitiful. The real question will be if the position is filled from within (typical fashion), or if Ralph & Dick will get someone with proven DLine success. It doesn't take a genius to see that the DLine is a glaring issue that needs fixed for us to be successful. Peppers could be franchised, but I believe Baltimore agreed to a one-year contract with Suggs stipulating that they cannot tag him again this year. Besides, I'm pretty sure they'd franchise Ray Lewis before Suggs.

Steely Dan Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Tim Krumrie Whoa! How about Eric Flowers or Tim Anderson!! Anderson could buy the DL guys lunch pails!!
cody Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 My thinking as well. If nothing else, addition by subtraction.. That worked great with Fairchild
bisonbrigade Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 A rock? A piece of used chewing gum? A cat turd? A rock or cat turd is a possiblity, but not chewing gum. You have to pay money for chewing gum. You know that that Mr. Crabbs, I mean Mr. Wilson loves his pennies.
gobillsinytown Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 How about Carl Mauk? When he coached our O-Line, opposing D-linemen were getting lots of sacks.
crazyDingo Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Ralph just promoted a manila envelope to DL coach. Inner Circle is getting crowded.
Wiz Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 How about Ralph's fat daughter? I hear she's a candidate. But, who's gonna scout offensive lineman????!!!!!!
Sisyphean Bills Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Will we miss him? Who are we going to get to replace him? Seriously, he's a very good coach, one of the few we had with much NFL experience, and got promoted to Assistant Head Coach in Houston. My guess. We'll probably end up promoting an intern.
pimp on da' net Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 A rock? A piece of used chewing gum? A cat turd? thank you...too funy I posted in another section recently questioning this guys ability to develope any of our young d-lineman. It's crazy b/c he was recognized as one of the better d-line coaches (what the hell happens when these guys come to OBD). Let's just hope they don't promote from within.
