Tolstoy Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Kaka, a world class footballer (soccer player) turned down 150 m. leave, presumably out of some loyalty to his club. You have got to like this guy, if you didn't already. Here are some you-tube clips of some of his goals: I think the Bills should make a bid for him.

I think we have already seen enough kaka on the field, especially at the QB position.
KD in CA Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I think the Bills should make a bid for him. So, presumably the Bills would need to bid > $150MM for a kicker?
The Senator Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 So, presumably the Bills would need to bid > $150MM for a kicker? Not if we had a coach like... Mike Leach Texas Tech's walk-on kicker goes 9-for-9 on PATs
PromoTheRobot Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Kaka signed with the Dolphins yesterday. They beat our offer. PTR
WVUFootball29 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 What do you call the kid who got cut from his High School soccer team?

Well, since none of those goals were from over 45 yards away (or even 25 yards, from what I can tell), I think I will pass. One thing I noticed about that compilation is, on most of Kaka's goals, someone else did most of the work...Kaka just ended up kicking it in (which is, of course, a very good thing).
stuckincincy Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 What would the NFL do if some kicker showed up, who could reliably bang home a 60 yard FG? I'd like to coach that team. I'd be wearing Hawaiian shirts, shorts, an anorak and mukluks for my feet if it was cold, and having fans pass me beer from the stands.

Here's what I've always wondered...if there was a punter that could down the ball at the 1 yard line on every single punt (lets call him robopunter), would you draft him first overall?

Absolutely. I'd likely never have to draft an offensive player ever again. I'd buy cheap retreads to chew up the clock. Even they will get lucky now and then.

Sure. It would be worth it just for the fact that you could shatter the record for most safeties in a season with about 50.

And if you had that reliable 60 yard FG kicker, you could get 5 points in under 30 seconds. That's quicker action than those Viagra ads promise. Oops... bad smiley...

Milan turned down 150 M. Clubs sell players. And Pato is better
Buftex Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 The Bills have enough Kaka (caca) on the field ... I'm here all week If Kaka was versatile, we could put him on the d-line...imagine, a pass rushing pairing of Kaka and Dookey.... BTW- buck up, you are funnier than crayonz...
