BillnutinHouston
Does anybody know where we stand with the cap going into the 2009 season? Haven't heard from Clumping Platelets in awhile... Not that we will spend up to it - I don't believe we did last year.
Turn Down For Watkins
Somewhere's in the range of 27-30 million $ would be my guess.
Big Turk
Does anybody know where we stand with the cap going into the 2009 season? Haven't heard from Clumping Platelets in awhile... Not that we will spend up to it - I don't believe we did last year. the cap is becoming almost irrelevant in the NFL now...it is accelerating so much faster than player salaries that almost all teams are bound to be under the cap since there are only so many players worthy of throwing money at. The cap is going up another 6% next year to 123 million. What is happening is average players are reaping the benefits as they are getting contracts that are vastly superior to similar player contracts 2 or 3 years ago. Bills will be well under the cap next year, as will a lot of other teams....its free money to pocket for the owners, who are basically given all of the money for player salaries out of the TV contracts. The more they save, the more they pocket.
