WellDressed Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 We have 3 dvr's, but I only know what I record. Lost 24 Damages Battlestar Galactica Heroes Pushing Daisies (Please renew it ABC) Sarah Connor Chronicles (My dad and sis watch this) Smallville (My dad watches this) Supernatural American Idol How I Met Your Mother The Amazing Race (although it's over now) The O'Reilly Factor Red Eye Medium (Has'nt started yet) Dollhouse (Has'nt started yet) We have Netflix so not that many movies get recorded Yeahh, Damages. "When I am through with you, there won't be anything left."
Fezmid Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I did not know that! Sweet. So, the existing recordings remain on the original drive even if you use it again? It doesn't overwrite it when you unplug the external and fire it up? Yup, existing recordings stay. Basically when you have an external drive attached, it disables the internal one. But don't unplug it (either the eSATA cable or the power supply to the external drive), or you could lose recordings on the external drive (because the machine will get confused by losing the drive suddenly). To watch stuff that's on the internal drive, power off the DVR, power off the external drive, disconnect the external drive, and then turn the DVR back on. Check out dbstalk.com -- there are some external enclosures that work better than others from what I've read.
BuffaloBill Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Don't you guys have wives? I basically have about 20 episodes of House Hunters in there. LOL ... my wife gets nervous when I look at the listings in the TIVO for fear I will erase one of her shows. I record: Anthony Bordain Frontline Californication Buffalo Bills Games (during the season) the rest is my wife's stuff
Mark Vader Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Yeahh, Damages. "When I am through with you, there won't be anything left." I love it. Amazing cast, great storyline and very intense. Not to mention that Rose Byrne is Smoking Hot.
