R. Rich Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Oh no; there's a blizzard going on in Baltimore! Close the schools! Close all the businesses! Run to the store and stock up on toilet paper, milk, and bread! There has to be, like, half an inch of snow on the ground already!!
LewPort71 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 you forgot the eggs.... When there is a big storm here; bread, eggs and milk fly off the shelf. I guess everyone wants to make French Toast. rev up your snow blower

Beerball Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Ummmm, aren't schools already closed? WHAT ABOUT THE BEER???
Chandler#81 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 We got our annual 1 snowfall here in Chattanooga this weekend. Flurried for about an hour Sat. night but was long gone beofre sunrise, so no pics..
/dev/null Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Norfolk is forecast to get up to 6 inches by tomorrow morning. I hope they're wrong because Southerners have a hard enough time driving in good weather
BuffaloBud Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Sounds like tomorrows Obama-fest will be interesting. Couple of inches of snow forecasted for tonight with temps in the lower 30's tomorrow and winds 10-15mph, gusting to 25.
BillsFanNC Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 The hysteria is in full force here in Raleigh in anticipation of the expected 2-4" falling overnight. Folks are getting testy as well when their winter driving skills are called into question. I don't know why people are so defensive about that though, 80% of the population are bad drivers regardless of weather conditions.
Jim in Anchorage Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 What a bunch of rookies!!! I have yet to hear any one mention beer. Jimmy Griffin must be very disappointed.
justnzane Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I am watchin some flurries right now in atlanta
ans4e64 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Same here. My wife told me she expected 8-10 inches during the night. I told her she had high expectations, especially since I'd been drinking.
Wacka Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Meanwhile, we have had over a week of 70+ temps in NorCal and have one of the driest Januarys on record. If it doesn't rain the rest of the month, it will be the driest. They are expecting some rain Wed and Thurs. The hills are usually very green now. They are green, but a dull green. I expect a lot of grass fires next summer.

BuffaloBill Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Oh no; there's a blizzard going on in Baltimore! Close the schools! Close all the businesses! Run to the store and stock up on toilet paper, milk, and bread! There has to be, like, half an inch of snow on the ground already!! Welcome to the "near south" When I lived in Knoxville, TN I used to joke that I would take a foot of snow in Buffalo over an inch in Knoxville. People freaked out at the threat of snow much less the reality of it. Although, the threat of rain, yes rain, in LA was even more panic inducing. People seriously wanted to leave work early just because of rain.
Beerball Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 What a bunch of rookies!!! I have yet to hear any one mention beer. Jimmy Griffin must be very disappointed. Ahem! Beer! You are forgiven.
