Glass To The Arson Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 What would be your reaction if we picked him up in the draft?
busterramsey Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 What would be your reaction if we picked him up in the draft? Yawn
CJPearl2 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Throw up. Did you watch him in the bowl game? He was awful!
ricojes Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 What would be your reaction if we picked him up in the draft? I wouldn't think any less of the Bills front office if they did....Of course, it may not be possible to think any less of them at the moment.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Never really saw him play. I used to hear about himwhen they talked about NJ Highschool Sports when he was at Randolph High. If he compares well to any oher mid-late rd qb prospect why not?
marauderswr80 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I rarely pay any attention to rounds 6 & 7.......so who cares.
Ramius Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Throw up. Did you watch him in the bowl game? He was awful! Good call. everyone knows bowl game performance is directly linked to success in the NFL. Just like how its wise to make assumptions on a player from watching a single game.
stuckincincy Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I wouldn't think any less of the Bills front office if they did... Nor I. Speaking the obvious, he will be in the Bill's UDFA camp.
PastaJoe Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 New England will pick him up late in the draft, and in a few years he'll be taking over for an injured Matt Cassel, and so on and so on...
CJPearl2 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Good call. everyone knows bowl game performance is directly linked to success in the NFL. Just like how its wise to make assumptions on a player from watching a single game. You don't think the one real defense he played against all year - the defense most like an NFL defense he faced during his entire tenure at UB - completely shut him down? Yes, this is relevant. And if I was an NFL scout I would surely use it against him.
BuckyFillUps Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 he wont be drafted. so if we picked him up as a UDFA i wouldnt mind. Got to be better than the Iraqi.
8-8 Forever? Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 they may bring him in as a free agent... like they did drew haddad a few years ago... he turned out to be a pretty good player for a while
Ramius Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 they may bring him in as a free agent... like they did drew haddad a few years ago... he turned out to be a pretty good player for a while Haddad was good. He finished his career with 1 catch for 11 yards.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Haddad was good. He finished his career with 1 catch for 11 yards. Thats one more catch and Eleven more yards than I have in my NFL career.
zow2 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Willy does not have a gun but he's very smart and distributed the ball sometimes to 8, 9 or 10 different receivers during games. He's like Chad Pennington v2.0 but did not have quite the weapons that Chad did in college. He will probably get drafted very late or be an UDFA. I could see him sticking w/ someone.
C.Biscuit97 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 he wont be drafted. so if we picked him up as a UDFA i wouldnt mind. Got to be better than the Iraqi. Your mother should have swallowed you.
stuckincincy Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 they may bring him in as a free agent... like they did drew haddad a few years ago... he turned out to be a pretty good player for a while They would do well to take a UDFA shot at ex-UC QB Ben Mauck. He's a maniac who sued the NCAA and lost in a bid for a 6th year (long story). No illusions about him being an NFL QB - but has potential as an ST player. The kid is fearless and relentless.
Trader Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Nor I. Speaking the obvious, he will be in the Bill's UDFA camp. I watched all of his games and he is going to play in the NFL. Maybe for many years. I don't know if he will be a number 1 qb ever but he will be a back up or third alternative. Someday he will get a shot at the number one job and who knows?
