CantonTom Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum worth a visit while I'm up there for the HOF inductions? As a Canton resident and life long Bills fan, (as well as the nominal head of the Canton Bills Backers Club), I would like to know if there would be significant interest in a Buffalo themed party in the Canton area the weekend of the HOF Enshrinement Ceremonies. Specifically, there is a great sports bar ("Loby's) in a shopping Center that may be interested in putting on an event for everyone from Buffalo (or that loves the Bills) that tracks on down for the HOF weekend. Any thoughts on what you would be intereted in (bands, Bills alumni, contests, etc....) and/or that you think would be appropriate for such an occasssion? (This might be the last time we see a Bill inducted for quite some time, so I think it appropriate to plan big!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wooderson Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum worth a visit while I'm up there for the HOF inductions? I went there 3 years ago with a few of my buddies for a little get away. It's definitely worth seeing and Cleveland is a pretty cool city. I wouldn't say plan on spending a whole lot of time there, it's interesting but I don't think you could stay there for an extended period of time. But if you're going to Canton, I'd say it's worth the stop to see the place.

Fezmid Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 There's an awesome restaurant called "Papa Bear's" -- it's good Italian and it's cheap. When my wife and I were there (May '07), it looked like all of the high school kids were going there for prom.

Thanks in advance for the advice and tips. CyberBill

If the Buffalo turnout is anything like it was for the Jim Kelly induction... We will be well represented. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE...

Myself, wife, 2 sisters, and the folks are rollin' into town. Canton is in trouble. If you get something put together, by all means, post and let us all know. Not sure what I could do to help put it together, but we'll certainly be interested in any activities associated with alcohol consumption. For those still looking, we all got rooms at the Holiday Inn in South Cleveland, $93/night. My family is flying in on Friday; I may be driving up from Columbus (depends on work). We're still awaiting tickets to the game. Anyone have an idea when they go on sale?
The_Philster Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Another great restaurant is The Stables...just a little ways from the Hall, it used to be owned by Chris Spielman. Football jerseys and helmets all over the place...and they have pretty good wings, too
