RayFinkle Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Anytime Lonnie Johnson is brought up as a subject, I think about that hit. Dumbass.
RockPile007 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Haha oh yeah that was rough. Darren Sharper's rookie year with the Packers. Just labeled poor Lonnie. Sorry I do not have a link to it.....only a vivid memory of pain.
Rubes Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Anyone remember the Nate Clements hit on Brady in 2001(?)? Now that was a classic. One of my favorites of all time. Wish there was a video of that one.
stuckincincy Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Ever wonder about the "Turkey Joe Jones" QB hit rule (or whatever it's officially called)? Whatever one may think about Terry Bradshaw, he was tough as they come... The Head Plant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQHWP81wIb0

marauderswr80 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I have a game used football card of Eric Moulds from that game. Its a piece of a football......its pretty cool. Now that hit was him fielding a punt? I remember the play very well......he never signaled for a fair catch did he?

BuffaloBlood Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 So I am assuming that the long and the short of it is that nobody here has a link to that hit? That sucks because even though I too will forever have that hit burned into my memory I would still like to see it again.
ofiba Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I have a game used football card of Eric Moulds from that game. Its a piece of a football......its pretty cool. Now that hit was him fielding a punt? I remember the play very well......he never signaled for a fair catch did he? You think we would have Lonnie back fielding a punt?? We faked a punt and threw the ball to Lonnie. He had the entire defense beat by a mile and was running down the field with his head turned around looking back at them. He completely forgot about the punt returner and the punt returner absolutely killed Lonnie and the ball flew about 30 yards across the field.
ColdBlueNorth Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Friggin Lonnie! "Friggin Lonnie" ... memories:) that video has to be somewhere, an awsome hit against dumbass, showboating Lonnie.
reddogblitz Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I am a big Lonnie Johnson fan BB King lists Lonnie Johnson as his biggest influence. Not Robert Johnson, but Lonnie Johnson.
