ExiledInIllinois Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Good to see people gravitating back to vinyl, a far superior format for music than digital, in my opinion. Superior in what? Just music? Not in practicality. Can the kidlets jump around without you having to scream bloody murder: "Who's skipping my LP!"
DrFishfinder Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I agree, if it is a good pressing on good vinyl, and it isn't scratched to death, the way most people's albums tend to get. Still, in a high-end automobile system, the CD sounds remarkably more fluid than the turntable...at least when you are driving. Hmmm....an iTable, huh?
DrFishfinder Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I had a Technics SL-10, at one time, which was really just an adult close and play. http://www.wired4sound.net.au/sources/tech...nics_SL10_a.jpg I had one of those too. Not bad with an Ortofon on it.
The Dean Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I had one of those too. Not bad with an Ortofon on it. I don't even remember the cartridge I used to like for that turntable. I'm going to guess Audio-Technica, but I'm not positive. I probably used whatever Audio Al, at Stereo Advantage advised.
