erynthered
I liked that Mickey Rourke bashes Sean Penn. He called him a "homophobe" and an "average" actor. That should really help his Oscar hopes.

Kelly the Dog
This is a cool story about how he got Bruce Springsteen to write a song for him that won the Best Song last night. Another in an endless series of examples of why Springsteen is the coolest. Rourke wrote him a long letter about the movie (and sent him the scsript) and asked him to do it for free. Springsteen said he was touring but would try if he could. Rourke went to see his show in NJ a few months later with Darren Aronofsky the Director. Bruce sat them down after the show and played the song he wrote for them and said. "I don't know if it's any good yet" and it just blew the guys away. It's similar to what happened with the movie "Philadelphia". http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1602516/story.jhtml
bizell
i think it also shows an equally sad existence for the marisa tomei character that's true. professions for over-the-hill people that require physical things (looks in tomei's case, muscle/body in rourke's) have no pity.
