gsurdam Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I can't recall what happened... Did he get cut , was he a free agent ?? How ever he left... we should have kept him in my opinion...
DaGimp Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 he only looks good because he is playing with Reed and Lewis
BillsObserver Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I can't recall what happened... Did he get cut , was he a free agent ?? How ever he left... we should have kept him in my opinion... Easy to say now. Nobody gave a damn when he left.
Coach Tuesday Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Didn't we try to replace him with John Wendling? Idiots. They really are idiots.
Sisyphean Bills Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 He was a RFA. We saved some money and didn't tender him. Go us.
Ramius Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Jim Leonhard would look nothing like how he looks in baltimore if he was still in buffalo.
Sisyphean Bills Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Jim Leonhard would look nothing like how he looks in baltimore if he was still in buffalo. He'd be playing for a team with no pass rush and in a system where he'd be expected to cover 1/3 to 1/2 of the field against all intermediate to deep routes for next-to-forever on each snap. It might be hard to find someone that would excel in that defense.
moovemtooelay Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Jim Leonhard would look nothing like how he looks in baltimore if he was still in buffalo. I agree. He was allways in higlights as the guy getting blasted.
stuckincincy Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 he only looks good because he is playing with Reed and Lewis Nope - he's had a heck of a season himself. Lewis, Reed helps. sure. And their DL, and coaching. I live in an AFC north town, I've seen the better part of 7 BAL games. He is playing well. And all season long.
extrahammer Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 If you haven't realized by now, it doesn't matter who's coaching the Bills, it's the front office bringing us down. Bill Belicheck could be cheating for us and we would still lose because of our front office.
Mark Vader Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Easy to say now. Nobody gave a damn when he left. Yes. I don't exactly remember a lot of people on this board shedding any tears over Leonhard's departure.

If our D was more aggressive we may fond more good players on the team.
Steve In Atlanta 2008 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I liked Leonard and thought he had a few Picks for the Bills in 07 we should have kept him. If our D was more aggressive we may fond more good players on the team. got rid of him... he was slow. Just like Coy Wire who started using steroids to be a linebacker
DIE HARD 1967 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 The reaction on this board and I quote was" HE SUCKS" Why would we feel sorry about a guy who sucks? John Wendling sucks too! (lol)
High Mark Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I always loved Jim Leonard. Didnt he lead our team in interceptions last year? I never figured out how he didnt play more. Seems to be jsut another case of the Bills coaching staff not being able to evaluate talent till it hits them in the face (F. Jackson). Hell even Coy Wire was a starting LB for Atlanta this year. Wait, dont we need help at LB and S....go figure.
ans4e64 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Easy to say now. Nobody gave a damn when he left. Speak for yourself.
ans4e64 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 he only looks good because he is playing with Reed and Lewis Wrong.
cantankerous Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 He had 2 picks last season for us...guess how many picks our safeties had this year combined....ZERO.
