THE GASH STATION Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Wow..kid can play. The whole day I was thinking Sproles blows and the chargers have no chance with him.. I guess today Randy Newman stands corrected
RLflutie7 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I wonder if SD is going to keep him. They'd be stupid to let him go. What a change of pace back. He can do it all. I'm not sure about being an every down back. Let's see what he can do next week.
RLflutie7 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Wow..kid can play. The whole day I was thinking Sproles blows and the chargers have no chance with him.. I guess today Randy Newman stands corrected He is a great little back. And they kept feeding it to him.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 At this point he has far more value to the chargers then Mr Pouty face Tomlinson. He's a fun rb to watch.
Numark Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 you think he would make a good defensive back? I say get it done russ
BillsObserver Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Small backs can be successful in this league. Bring back Shaud Williams.
ofiba Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Running back is one of the only positions on the Bills that doesn't need to be upgraded.
Numark Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Running back is one of the only positions on the Bills that doesn't need to be upgraded. yea, and once again, he would make a perfect CB
Gene Frenkle Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Looked like a little Thurman Thomas at times tonight.
My Friends Call Me Tebucky Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Since he's useless as a wideout, and almost as small as Sproles, maybe the Bills should look into converting Parrish to RB
Stussy109 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 If you sign him, then bye bye freddy J, I'd rather have freddy around.
silvermike Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 He had one of the great playoff performances of all time - what was, it, 330 all-purpose yards and the game winning TD? I hope the dude gets a $50M contract from somebody; he's earned it. If you were A.J. Smith, and someone offered a late first for LdT - would you take it and start Sproles? Tomlinson is heading into his 9th season next year. Not a lot of RBs can still perform with that much wear, and he's gotten beat up worse than most.
Steely Dan Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 At this point he has far more value to the chargers then Mr Pouty face Tomlinson. He's a fun rb to watch. Mr. Pouty Face? Where does that come from?

However a 1st for Tomlinson at this stage would be highway robbery for the chargers. They could draft a rb to give them what tomlinson gives them at this point in time. Besides very few rbs nowadays receive a boat load of work.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Mr. Pouty Face? Where does that come from? It comes from Tomlinson breaking down and becoming a shell of his former self. Constantly nagged up with an injury. When they show him on the sideline with his coat and helmet on sititng on the bench and his visor. It looks like a guy who's pouting. The guy is on the serious decline. For the suppoused "best rb" in the league. He's soft when it comes to big games. His excuses for sitting out last year, and now this year. The chargers would be better off without him at this point.
Tcali Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 yea, and once again, he would make a perfect CB if he wore stilts
scribo Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I think it is now more important for the Bolts to keep Sproles than it is to keep LT. I would shop LT.
The Tomcat Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Sproles is impressive for his size but there is no way he could make it as a #1 back. The guys going to get planted and torn in half and he fumbles as well. A great change of pace but not a #1 back.

Yes they should cut there 1800+ total yards a season back cuz there so easy to replace......put down the pipe my friend....
KD in CA Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Tomlinson is definitely slowing down. Lot of miles on him; he'll be done by the time his contract expires in 2011. It'll be interesting to see how SD plans to handle this -- they may need to go to a RBBC to keep Tomlinson healthy for as long as possible.
