The story about the Black Hawks attending GM Dale Tallon's father's funeral was a good one but not on the list.

Sean Avery is a cancer that is typical of some other leagues but is not needed in the NHL.

The first two versions of the Winter Classic have been great. The defense splitting goal by Red Wing Pavel Datsyuk was a beauty in yesterday's game!

I live in near this town (Chicago) and it just disgusts me all the bandwagon fans with regards to the winning the 'Hawks have been doing... They wouldn't know their ass from a hole in the ground about things. Not that I was an Old Man Wirtz fan... But come on! The market is huge though.

It just pisses me off that Kane is not playing for the Sabres... How sweet it would have been if he pulled an Elway and dictated who he wanted to play for. I hope he is in the beloved blue and gold someday!

Flame away if some need to. I am a BFLO fan first and the only reason I am in "exile" and not living back home is that I absolutely don't/didn't have any leverage given my economic situation... But, in a heartbeat I would be back!

I really wish he was tearing up the ice for the Sabres!

Sorry for the rant... I just can't warm up to any Chicago team except the Sox and possibly the 'Hawks... But, with this recent surge in popularity the 'Hawks are getting is putting a damper on things for me... They are moving to what is seen with Cubs fans. :nana: Only the Sox survived and maintained their quaint niche even after they won the World Series... And that is what I like! :wallbash::angry:

Oh well... It is hard being torn. On one level I want the Blackhawks to succeed... Then on the other level, it would be nice to see (to a certain level) the purists that followed the team under the older Wirtz. I guess the bandwagon element has to come along.

And if anyone thinks BFLO is a bandwagon town... Chicago has it beat 500 fold.

Don't keep it inside! Get it out! There are a lot of transplants at this site so you aren't out there all alone!

It would be cool if somehow down the line Kane made it to the Sabres but Kane is the leading Western Conference vote- getter. Kane is on his way up and so are the Black Hawks, they have done well in the draft and FA.

I am not a Chicago fan either. I root for the smaller markets against the bigger, richer cities. Black Hawk fans were silent for a long time like Penguin fans were before they got Crosby.

See that is what gets me... Yes, they have down well in the draft... So has PITT... But, it sure helps when you win a lottery for #1 and get Sid the Kid and Kane...

I think the worst team should get the #1 pick... The NBA and NHL are screwy with the lottery system.

Edit: BFLO-VAN lottery for Gilbert Perreault was okay... They were both expansion teams! :worthy::P
