mead107 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Glad he has made it back from his stroke .But at 79 years old , past time to put him in the history books .
BuffalOhio Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 It's sad, but he just needs to go away and preserve his dignity. Painful to watch.
H2o Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I felt bad watching the poor old guy up there. He still looks like he's only about 60, but the stroke devastated him. It was kinda sad to watch the guy. I know one thing, he kept wanting to kiss the blonde that popped up on the screen at 12:00 am, that was hillarious.
buckeyemike Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I agree. I posted on here 3-4 years ago after his first post-stroke appearance that I didn't want to remember Dick Clark that way. And I think he now looks every bit of his 79 years. It's very sad.
Flbillsfan#1 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 My wife said with all the plastic surgery he has had he didn't look quite REAL, then when he talks after the stroke combined with his looks, he looks like a puppet.
Omar Little Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 It's sad, but he just needs to go away and preserve his dignity. Painful to watch. Reminds me of a certain member of Buffalo's football organization...
ExWNYer Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Reminds me of a certain member of Buffalo's football dis-organization... Fixed.
Marv's Neighbor Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 My wife said with all the plastic surgery he has had he didn't look quite REAL, then when he talks after the stroke combined with his looks, he looks like a puppet. Yeah! Definately a Howdy Doody Mouth!
GripnRip Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 How is that sad..... He obviously enjoys taking part in new years for him to still be doing it, regardless of his health. I find it inspiring and courageous....anything but sad.
Tom Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 My wife said with all the plastic surgery he has had he didn't look quite REAL, then when he talks after the stroke combined with his looks, he looks like a puppet. Exactly my thoughts..............
stuckincincy Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 How is that sad..... He obviously enjoys taking part in new years for him to still be doing it, regardless of his health. I find it inspiring and courageous....anything but sad. I agree.

I find it inspiring and courageous....anything but sad. I agree... let him have his one night a year to remind us that even after a stroke, the man can still be very productive. So what if he has trouble speaking and his face isn't normal?? His thoughts are very coherent, still like the old DC, and that is most important! The man is trapped with physical limitations- leave him alone.
gobilz Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 sounded like Ralph during one of his press conferences.
DDD Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Reminds me of a certain member of Buffalo's football organization...
ieatcrayonz Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Reminds me of a certain member of Buffalo's football organization... Dude that's not fair. Clark has definitely slipped a bit but his arm is still stonger than Trent's.
marauderswr80 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Physically he still looks darn good for 79 years old. He dont look a day over 50. But when he talks......thats where it pains you to look at him.
Lurker Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 How is that sad..... He obviously enjoys taking part in new years for him to still be doing it, regardless of his health. I find it inspiring and courageous....anything but sad. Agreed. To be honest, my first thought was it was sort of creepy. Then, when I could see how much it seemed to mean to him to be on the air, I was glad for him...
