Chuckknox
99% of these people who post would not know how to coach a pee wee football team, much less try to organize the locker room in a NFL organization. All the negative comments on the poor play calls - GET OVER IT ! If the plays work they are great plays, if they fail everyone crys. Think about the calls that work. The fake punts & field goals, if they do not work everyone would cry -they did work an they were great calls. If JP does not fumble against JETs and completes the pass or runs for a first down, he's a hero, the coach is great, etc... If Matt Cassel get his 3rd down punt blocked, their coach is a stupid for trying it, he get a good punt and he's smart. Just let the Coach coach the team and try to support the effort the players give on the field. Hopefully we will get a few better bounces next year. Um...no. If you have to run just one last play to kill the clock and win the game, is giving the ball to Fumbles McGreasyfingers a good idea? Even if it works? /dev/null
We are so lucky that DJ does not read these negative posts. If he did he might have to actually show some kind of emotion, probably negative. And showing emotion is a bad thing, because he might have to actually call timeout to figure out what to do
Lori
Better bounces? Good coaches prepare their teams well enough that they don't have to count on "better bounces." And weren't you the one who wanted MadMikeMartz? Yeah, there's a plan.

Hindsight truly is 20/20, however playcalls aside Dick has made SO MANY BLUNDERS that cost the Bills Wins it is foolish to think he will do any better next year. I truly feel sorry for Dick & his family if the Bills don't win next year. The Bills have such a passionate fan base, the IDIOTS that are part of it will make Dick's & his family's life PURE HELL if the Bills lose. Sisyphean Bills
Is there anybody at 1 Bills Dr. that gives a rat's ass what the stupid fans think? BTW, you can't really say that not using play action, not running any screen passes, not throwing deep, not running a toss sweep, not running a counter trey, etc. "would have been great play calls if they had worked." Adam
Does anyone actually think that the deep slant that was called in the Cowboys/49ers NFC Championship game was a good call? Sure, it worked, but I think giving the ball to Emmitt Smith would have been a higher percentage play- the thing is, Jimmy Johnson had the players to bail him out on that one..... BuffaloBill
99% of these people who post would not know how to coach a pee wee football team, much less try to organize the locker room in a NFL organization. Many of us are leaders in our own right. We understand the importance of accountability. We recognize the value of emotion. We prepare ourselves and the people around us for reality and above all if we do not get reults we change our approach. Get a clue Dick Jauron might be a good position coach or even a very good coordinator. His record, in Buffalo and elsewhere, shows that he is a mediocre head coach at best. All the negative comments on the poor play calls - GET OVER IT ! If the plays work they are great plays, if they fail everyone crys. Think about the calls that work. The fake punts & field goals, if they do not work everyone would cry -they did work an th ey were great calls. Its hard to get over a decade of it. Hard to see your tem lose 8 out of its last 10 and think this is acceptable. A bad call that costs one game ... yes get over it ... bad calls that cost game after game ... sorry you do not get over it. If JP does not fumble against JETs and completes the pass or runs for a first down, he's a hero, the coach is great, etc... Problem here is what is the likelhood that JP is going to be successful running that play at that time. History showed the result we received was the one we were likely to get. If DJ was half the coach you suggest he is he would have put the ball in the hands of his running backs who plyed their azzzes off for the entire game. If Matt Cassel get his 3rd down punt blocked, their coach is a stupid for trying it, he get a good punt and he's smart. Learn from what you saw Dick Jauron. You were so badly outcoached at that moment you should have resigned your job right then and there. Not to mention the idiocy at the end of the first half. Just let the Coach coach the team and try to support the effort the players give on the field. Hopefully we will get a few better bounces next year. Sadly, we have no choice. Many, if not all of us will be back next season. The problem is that once again we have been made the laughingstock of the NFL. It is very hard to explain to anyone who is not from WNY why you would support this team. Weve sunk lower than the Bungles. Keep in mind there is not only this coaching disaster but we have now forfeited home field advantage for one game each year. That debacle in Toronto was embarrasing. The fins got more support than the Bills did.

Good coaches prepare their team- great ones are the ones with the great players Poppycock! A good call isn't necessarily a "high percentage" call, all the time. But, if JJ called that play with an inferior QB or a receiver who was suspect, it would be a horrible call...even if it happened to work. Deciding to take a hook shot from beyond half court might be a good play, if the buzzer is about to sound. It is a horrible play if you do it mid-game, even if it goes in...UNLESS you play for the Harlem Globetrotters. Bad calls don't take advantage of situations, matchups and the skill sets of the players involved. EDIT: The logic that that are no bad calls, suggests a play wheel, with any random call, without regard to down/distance/personnel would be as good as a trained OC at calling plays. He plays not to lose. He plays for the field goal in the pats game, right before halftime. Cleveland game he is fine with settling for a 48 yard field goal when they had time to get closer or god forbid score a touchdown. And his team plays with NO passion. He deserves all the heat he is getting.
