Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Good legal show with great cast (Jason O'Mara, Kyle McLaughlin) from two years ago, called "In Justice." It was about lawyers at a place similar to the 'innocence project' freeing criminals based on DNA evidence. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Justice
RayFinkle Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr." is my first pick. Firefly is a close second. Brisco made it for two seasons. Great show.
Bmwolf21 Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I really enjoyed Blade: The Series. It was on Spike, but cacelled after the first season. The first half of the season was a bit slow and dry, but the 2nd half really kicked it into high gear and made it a very enjoyable program. I was bummed it was cancelled. Not Firefly bummed, but still pretty disappointed. I really liked Blade as well. Pretty good show, and also introduced us to the lovely Jill Wagner.
Fezmid Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I really liked Blade as well. Pretty good show, and also introduced us to the lovely Jill Wagner. Jessica Gower (Chase) was much nicer, IMHO... Unfortunately, there just aren't many pictures of her online.... http://c.myspace.com/Groups/00016/83/68/16148638_l.jpg

Nothing that really got me excited. For some reason I do love Jill's Mercury commercials, though...

/dev/null Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I always thought she was "generic pretty blond" girl. Nothing that really got me excited. I always liked evil girls and girls with accents, so I liked her
JoeF Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Sports Night gets my vote. Smart, funny, pretty damn realistic. Even though it lasted 4.5 seasons--which is a lifetime--I still miss The Pretender
Thirdborn Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Sports Night gets my vote. Smart, funny, pretty damn realistic. Even though it lasted 4.5 seasons--which is a lifetime--I still miss The Pretender Really? Not a one of you mentioned Earth 2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_2_(TV_series)
The Dean Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Sports Night gets my vote. Smart, funny, pretty damn realistic. Great show, lasted 2 seasons, though. (They moved the show around so much, and showed it so sporadically, I'm not sure the 2nd season should count.)
The Dean Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 The Prisoner only had 17 episodes. That's less than one season. Very cool show. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prisoner
Fezmid Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I always liked evil girls and girls with accents, so I liked her Exactly. Her character rocked. Plus the episode with her getting out of bed was pretty nice....
BillsWatch Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Brisco made it for two seasons. Great show. Nope. Long season (27 episodes) but broadcast from 27 August 1993 to 20 May 1994.
Just Jack Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Nope. Long season (27 episodes) but broadcast from 27 August 1993 to 20 May 1994. Yep, from Amazon.... Adventures lasted one television season in 1993-94.
BillsWatch Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Yep, from Amazon....Adventures lasted one television season in 1993-94. I have seen it for sale as two separate disk sets which is why some may be confused. I went to purchase it from one site and realized I was getting only half a season and lots of commentary. From IMDB: View by: Episodes: All (27) Season: 1 Year: 1993 | 1994
bills44 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 the show "Kidnapped" on NBC was pretty interesting

justnzane Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 "Freaks And Geeks", sort of the prequill to "Undeclared" was even better, IMO, although I liked them both. It only lasted a season...great cast, great writing... I agree that both were cut down way too early, as well as sports nite. Another that I thought would have gotten a little longer was Inside Schwartz.
